Jessica Simpson Wedding Video: Lavish, Lovely and Liquored Up!

by at .  Updated at . Comments

On the Fourth of July, Jessica Simpson married Eric Johnson in what's been described as a small, low-key affair.

Well, as the video below demonstrates celebs have a different idea of keeping it simple than the rest of us:

275 guests, 14 bridesmaids, and more chandeliers than the set of Downton Abbey were all on hand for the lavish semi-outdoor reception.

Rumor has it that Jessica was hungover at the wedding, but if that was the case, she certainly hid it well - smiling, cutting a rug and looking gorgeous in her Carolina Herrera gown.

Sure, the event was modest and toned-down in comparison to say, the Kimye wedding, but the same could be said about the last several Super Bowls.

No sign of Joe Simpson with Jordan Keith (his alleged, male model date) in the video, but the clip seems carefully edited to only show the joyous, non-controversial moments.

Jessica and her event planner reportedly based the look of the reception on the film Great Expectations and the new Mrs. Johnson says she was very pleased with the outcome.

"We had a huge band," she told People magazine. "Everyone had the time of their lives."

Plus, there was an open bar! That's one surefire way to keep Jess happy!

NEWLYWEDS!
Hooray for Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson. These two tied the knot in July 2014.

Jessica Simpson Quotes

They're just the cutest couple in the world. They are adorable. Anybody would wish to be them and you can only wish them well. Just being around them inspires love and everything I sing about.

Jessica Simpson [on her sister and Pete Wentz]

It’s fun to do a small film that might be released to DVD not because it’s a horrible film, but because it’s an independent film. For people to say Employee of the Month was a flop is ludicrous. We made the money back–that’s not a flop. For people to say The Dukes of Hazzard was a flop–it opened to $30 million! If these movies are flops, why would I still make them?
