Might Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin be in the midst of a conscious... recoupling?
And that chatter is bound to grow louder after both stars attended a movie screening in East Hampton last night.
Accompanied by mother Blythe Danner, Paltrow hosted the event, held in honor of Hector And The Search For Happiness, a movie that stars Martin’s long-time pal Simon Pegg.
The Coldplay frontman was therefore also in attendance, acting like anything except a bitter ex-husband.
"They seemed so comfortable with each other," a witness tells People of Paltrow and Martin. "It was like they were still married.
Paltrow and Martin arrived at the screening separately, but spent a lot of time talking to friends together. They both also attended the evening's after-party at a nearby restaurant.
As the night came to an end, Martin motioned to Paltrow that he was ready to leave. They said farewell to their friends and departed, with Martin walking Danner out of the establishment and back to her car.
"I don't know what's going on with them," said another guest of Patlrow and Martin. "But they seem really happy."
