Is hunky Iowa farmer Chris Soules The Bachelor for next season? That rumor certainly received a nice boost after last night's episode of The Bachelorette.
Why? If you missed it, we'll break it down below ...
WARNING: The Bachelorette spoilers ahead!
With three romantic dates on tap in the Dominican Republic and only two roses to give out, Andi Dorfman faced a tough choice on the penultimate episode.
Following days (and nights) with co-frontrunners Nick Viall and Josh Murray that exceeded expectations, The Bachelorette's choice was already made.
For Chris Soules, that meant a surprise, early exit Monday.
Much like Andi herself, Chris finished in third place and never made it to the rose ceremony (though Dorfman removed herself from The Bachelor).
Will he follow her lead and dole out the roses next winter?
Former Bachelor star Sean Lowe thinks so, Tweeting upon watching the episode on ABC that Chris "just got himself dumped into The Bachelor.”
Sean, also a third-place finisher memorably nixed by Emily Maynard, joked, “Pretty sure they played this sad piano music when I got dumped too."
Takes one Bachelorette-turned-Bachelor star to know one?
As you would expect, Soules handled the rejection with class and integrity, despite his obvious heartbreak, further cementing his strong reputation.
We've been hearing for months that it's Chris' gig if he wants it, regardless of what happens with Josh or Nick on the season finale in two weeks.
That's no surprise if you've seen the current season.
"The audience really connected with him," says a show insider. "He’s handsome and successful, making him a great candidate for the show."
"Auditions have already started for his season."
Despite his rumored history of alcohol-related arrests, Andi's Secret Admirer has his life together these days and will no doubt have many admirers of his own.
Should he actually accept the job, that is. VOTE:
