Tracy Morgan is officially on the mend.
The actor, severely injured in an early morning car crash on June 7 in New Jersey, is no longer in critical condition, according to his rep.
Instead, the beloved former 30 Rock Star has been upgraded to Fair, “which is a great improvement,” the spokesman says, adding:
"His personality is certainly starting to come back as well."
Morgan's mentor, 63-year old Jimmy McNair, died in the fatal accident, which police believe was caused when Walmart truck driver Kevin Roper fell asleep at the wheel.
This act triggered a six-car pile-up and resulted in multiple passengers being air-lifted to the hospital.
Roper has denied claims that he had been awake for 24 hours at the time of the incident, saying he did not wrong and is only being used as a scapegoat because a celebrity was at the center of the accident.
The 35-year old pleaded not guilty to vehicular homicide and assault by auto charges.
Morgan, meanwhile, broke several bones in the crash and had been listed in critical condition until yesterday's positive update. He still has a long recovery in front of him.
