Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong'o has been cast in Star Wars: Episode VII. That we much we know for sure. Given the secretive nature of the production, however, there's been no official word on what type of role she'll play.
In fact, we have no idea what parts will be played by any of the new Star Wars cast members, but with the release of the film still 18 months away, what are we supposed to do...wait?!
No, no. This is the Internet age, which means we have plenty of rumors to keep us busy, including this one that's said to come from an "inside source" working on the set of Episode VII:
Lupita and Girls star Adam Driver will reportedly play black-helmeted "Jedi hunters" in the new film.
Nyong'o has apparently been wearing yellow contact lenses on set to get give her character a more badass vibe.
All of that sounds awesome, of course, and we're now somehow looking forward to Episode VII even more than before.
Other fan speculation suggests that Daisy Ridley will play Han and Leia's daughter.
Aside from that, all we know about JJ Abrams' film is that it will take place about 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi; it features Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher in their original roles; and it's pretty much guaranteed to be the biggest blockbuster of 2015.
