Forget the True Blood Season 7 premiere, which aired last night on HBO and which featured a major character death before the opening credits even rolled.

Previously, Sesame Street has parodied Sons of Anarchy and The Hunger Games.
Here's a look, meanwhile, at some celebrities who have stopped by everyone's favorite kid show:
Benedict Cumberbatch appears here on Sesame Street. And totally cracks us up in the process.
Kellan Lutz appears here on Sesame Street. And teaches Cookie Monster about the word... vibrate?!?
Mitt Romney visits Sesame Street ... okay not really, but you gotta hear this audio mashup of how that might go down.
Zac Efron is here to teach you all about patience. He and Elmo present the Word of the Day in this Sesame Street clip.

Katy Perry is apparently too hot for Sesame Street. We can sort of see it with the dress she's got on up in this piece.
Jon Hamm appears here for a Sesame Street sketch. And, no shocker to anyone familiar with the actor, he kills it.
Harry Styles and Liam Payne know their alphabet. They sing it during this appearance on Sesame Street.
