Spoiler alert: If you haven't watched Game of Thrones season 4, episode 8, you may not want to read any further.
In fact, if you missed it last night, go watch Game of Thrones online at TV Fanatic right now, because the last ten minutes of "The Mountain and The Viper" offered up one of the most epically brutal scenes the show has given us thus far.
Okay, so now we've established that you either saw the episode or you hate surprises, and we're free to talk about the incredibly intense fight between Oberyn Martell and Gregor Clegane, as well as the actors' enlightening/hilarious reactions to the hard-to-watch scene.
In response to the brutal battle, Pedro Pascal - who played Oberyn - tweeted simply, "Ouch," followed by, "I s--t you not, I can't get rid of this headache."
Pascal and Hafpor Julius Bjornsson, the world's second strongest man who portrays Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane on the HBO series gave an interview to The Hollywood Reporter in which they discussed the difficulty of shooting such a carefully choreographed and emotionally charged scene:
Remarkably, the two actors performed many of their own stunts, and not surprisingly, Hafpor says it was a struggle to both "be careful" and "go all in" without hurting Pascal with his hulking 6'9" frame.
For his part, Pascal says producers sent a Wushu (a style of Chinese martial arts) trainer to his home in LA before filming.
"It was certainly a style of movement my body was unfamiliar with," says Pascal, adding that he continued training throughout the shooting of season 4 in order to master Oberyn's snake-like movements.
Now that Pedro's role on the show has very clearly come to an end, Pascal is none too concerned with spoiling the climactic fight for latecomers:
