But according to Kanye a lot of work went into that shot and the end result is entirely the result of Photoshop work that he and Kim were forced to put in as a result of iconic photographer Annie Leibovitz turning them down.
Speaking at a conference in France yesterday, Kanye told the story behind the insanely popular image:
"I'll tell you a little story about the kiss photo my girl put up. We - and this was pissing my girl off during the honeymoon. She was exhausted because we worked on the photo so much because Annie Leibovitz pulled out, because I think she was scared of the idea of celebrity."
"I was like 'I still want my wedding photos to look like Annie Leibovitz's photos,' and we sat there and worked on that photo for four days. Can you imagine telling someone who just wants to Instagram a photo, who's the number one person on Instagram, ''We need to work on the color of the flower wall?"
We have two points to make here: first, having photographed the likes of John Lennon and Queen Elizabeth II, it seems unlikely that Leibovitz was scared off because Kim and Kanye were just too famous.
Second, on the day after what would've been Tupac's 43rd birthday, it's important that we remember there was a time when rappers didn't brag about how much time they spent Photoshopping their wedding pics because they couldn't get the famous photographer they wanted.
We're not saying every rapper's gotta be gangsta, but they should try not to be the most vain, prissy human being on the planet.
