Let's face it: Justin Bieber often tried to look hard.
But a new report in The Daily Mail claims the superstar isn't even trying to put on a brave face these days. He's simply been "non-stop cying" since two video leaked online this week.
In the first, Bieber uses the N Word as a punchline.
In the second, he changes a key word in "One Less Lonely Girl" to that same slur and also jokes about the KKK.
Both were filmed when Bieber was a young teenager and Bieber has expressed deep regret that he ever used such a word.
"But even though the public has mostly forgiven Justin, a source close to the 20-year-old singer tells the British newspaper that Bieber has "been in tears" all week.
"He knows he needs to take responsibility for his actions, he's confronting his past and he's hanging out with his real friends and his parents," the insider says.
Bieber posted a message on Instagram Wednesday that asked for "forgiveness" for his "sins," also saying in a statement:
"Facing my mistakes from years ago has been one of the hardest things I've ever dealt with. But I feel now that I need to take responsibility for those mistakes and not let them linger. At the end of the day, I just need to step up and own what I did."
And thus far he has.
Mack Maine, Lil Wayne and other African-American friends of the artist have all stood by Bieber.
