The Bachelorette returns tonight following a week hiatus, and with the loss of Eric Hill still fresh in the minds of viewers following his exit on the June 3 episode.
As The Bachelorette spoilers predicted, Hill left the show before the rose ceremony. What we didn't expect, though, was the way in which he left.
After Hill accused the woman he was there to get to know of not revealing her true self, she said it was best if he left, then became awfully upset.
If you watch The Bachelorette online, you know Andi Dorfman mourned the loss of the contestant, who died just weeks after he left, on national TV.
It wasn’t just for show, and there were no hard feelings. Eric’s sister Karen Tracey reveals that Andi also sent her personal condolences to his family.
“Andi sent us a very thoughtful letter, all about her memories of Eric and their first date together,” Karen shares in the new issue of Life & Style.
The death of the 31-year-old in an April paragliding accident has cast a shadow over this season of The Bachelorette, which is dedicated to his memory.
But Karen explains that she isn't upset about anything, even the fight between Andi Dorfman and Eric in which he called her “a TV actress” and bailed.
“I think ABC handled the situation the best they could, and I’m fine with it,” she says, adding that the show helps Eric live on in an unusual way.
As for the way he left things on The Bachelorette? Eric Hill, she adds, truly enjoyed his time on the show, “but really felt bad that he made Andi cry.”
