George Clooney's engagement to Amal Alamuddin reportedly irked his former flame Stacy Keibler, despite the fact that she just got pregnant and married herself.
Clooney's proposal to the British human rights attorney was a surprise to Stacy, who once firmly believed she'd be the one saying "I do" to the famous bachelor.
A source reveals to Us that Keibler was "irked" as a result.
"When George and Stacy got together, he told her she would be the one he'd marry, and they could have kids," the insider says of the former model.
The pair split after more than two years in mid-2013.
Fast forward not even a year later and Stacy Keibler married Jared Pobre in March and is now expecting the couple's first child, a baby girl, later this year.
That was surprising enough, but it was Clooney popping the question to Amal Alamuddin that was the real jaw-dropper to the celebrity news universe.
Not only had Clooney insisted for many years that he'd never get married, few knew that he and Alamuddin were even a thing, or that it was serious.
Irked or not, another pal insists there's no bad blood at all between the silver screen legend and Keibler, and that both are happy for the other in the end.
"Stacy's happy for George," the second insider insists.
"She is glad that he was able to find true love."
We wish them all the best in that endeavor.
