At the launch of a foundation in her name, Pamela Anderson opened up about a couple traumatic life events in Cannes over the weekend.

Standing in front of hundreds, the actress said she was "molested from age six by a female babysitter" and went on to say she had her first "heterosexual experience" when she was raped a few years later.

The latter occurred when she was 12 and the 25-year old brother of a friend’s boyfriend decided to "teach me backgammon, which led into a back massage” and then to a sexual assault.

Her first boyfriend, Anderson then revealed, “decided it would be funny to gang-rape me with six friends.”

After describing these "painful memories," Anderson said she had a hard time trusting others and "wanted off this earth."

But an empathy toward Mother Nature and animals saved the foremr Baywatch star.

"It came to me naturally," she said. "The trees spoke to me. My loyalty was with the animal kingdom and I vowed to protect them and only them. I prayed to the whales with my feet in the ocean, my only real friends until I had children."

Anderson was accompanied to the event by her oldest son, Brandon Thomas Lee, and her husband, Rick Salomon.

The fundraiser reportedly garnered more than $150,000 for friend Vivienne Westwood’s favorite charity, Cool Earth.
