Kim Kardashian-Kanye West wedding rumors are unavoidable these days, and while we won't know anything for certain until Kimye walks down the aisle on Saturday, we do know that the power couple won't be getting hitched at the Palace of Versailles.
It was originally reported that the Kardashian-West wedding would be held at Belvedere Fort in Florence.
New rumors indicate, however, that at least two separate ceremonies are being scheduled and Kimye had its collective heart set on Versailles for the climax of their over-the-top nuptial extravaganza.
For those of you who snoozed through your European history class, Versailles housed famed French monarch Louis XIV during his decadent reign, and the magnificent chateau has been a globally-recognized symbol of wealth and opulence ever since.
Kim and Kanye, of course, are the living embodiments of wealth and opulence, so they naturally felt Versailles would be an ideal site for their ceremony.
Unfortunately for them, Versailles is also synonymous with class and dignity, two departments in which Kim and Yeezy are a bit lacking.
Insiders believe its for that reason (coupled with rumors that the Kimye wedding will be televised) that Versailles turned up their French noses at the thought of hosting the ceremony of the century.
Of course, the last minute rejection has left Kim and Kanye scrambling to find a new venue. The couple is in Paris today, reportedly seeking out a new locale.
There's even been talk that Kimye may be forced to reschedule the ceremony that's already been delayed by prenup problems involving Jay Z.
If that happens does Kim have to give back the sex tape profits Ray J gave her as a wedding present? There's no gift receipt for something like that.
