Dancing With the Stars Results: Who Got All 10s? Who Got the Heave-Ho?

by at .  Updated at . Comments

Monday's Dancing with the Stars Season 18 Episode 8 showcased some typically talented performances. Even the week's guest judge was impressed ...

... Abby Lee Miller!

If you watch Dance Moms online, you know she's a tough cookie (and that's as nicely as we can put it). So to win 9s and 10s from her is no small feat.

Who did just that?

Let's take a look at the performances and scores on Dancing with the Stars Season 18 Episode 8, and see who lived to dance another week on ABC ...

Amy Purdy and Charlie White took the lead away from Meryl Davis, who actually scored at the bottom of the pack last night with Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

Both scored all 10s last night. Impressive work, especially considering that Amy Purdy was hospitalized just a week ago after her performance on the show.

Each dancer performed an individual routine, followed by a dance duel against another star. The full scoreboard from last night's Dancing with the Stars:

  • Amy Purdy and Derek Hough: 10, 10, 10, 10 = 40 + 39 = 79
  • Charlie White and Sharna Burgess: 10, 10, 10, 10 = 40 + 38 = 78
  • James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd: 8, 9, 10, 9 = 36 + 39 = 75
  • Candace Cameron Bure and Mark Ballas: 9, 9, 9, 9 = 36 + 38 = 74
  • Danica McKellar and Val Chmerkovskiy: 10, 9, 9, 10 = 38 + 34 = 72
  • Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy: 9, 9, 8, 10 = 36 + 34 = 70

In jeopardy: Danica, James and Candace. Who went home?

While we're sad to see the beautiful former child star go, especially after two 10s, someone had to, and this year's field is particularly evenly matched.

"It's been absolutely amazing. I've had the best time ever," she said with a smile. "And I didn't want to see any of them eliminated so I guess it worked out."

What a sweetheart. It's like she's the anti-Abby Lee Miller. Can you imagine her reacting that way to having her winning streak snapped on Dance Moms?

We cannot. See below ...

Speaking of fights, it will be a battle royale in next week's semifinals. Who will advance when Meryl, Amy, Candace, James and Charlie duke it out?

It will be a treat to watch, that's for sure. Follow the link to watch Dancing with the Stars online at TV Fanatic and share your comments below ...

Who picks the guest judges? I'd like to commend them on the selections...until now. Abbey Lee Miller was one off the worst excuses for a representative of elegant, classic ballroom dancing anyone could ever possibly imagine. One time (once!) as I was channel surfing I came across Dance Moms. I watched for maybe 3 - 4 minutes. NEVER again. Abbey Lee Miller's personality is rude, crude, obnoxious, repulsive and just about everything I would go to the end of the earth to keep my grandchildren to ever have to be associated with. Sorry DWTS....bad choice for an otherwise wonderful series showcasing elegant ballroom dancing. Please raise the bar on class of guest judges. Other than that....Love LOVE DWTS. I look forward to watching you every week

We should have started dancing with one arm waaay before.

Cristian de la Fuente [following his injury, trip to the hospital and subsequent stellar performance]

I am not the best dancer, and I have not been the best dancer from the beginning. I am happy we made it this far.
