Casey Kasem has been found.
Three days after a Los Angeles judge expressed concern over the whereabouts of this famous DJ, Kasem's kids have released a statement that confirms he's been located in Washington.
Santa Monica police Sgt. Mario Toti said Kasem was tracked down by the Kitsap County Sheriff's Department, not long after Kasem’s kids filed a missing person’s report.
The condition of the 82-year old, who has been in declining health and who is unable to speak, is unknown at this time.
"The family has grave concerns about his health and will do everything in their power to bring him back home," Kasem's kids said in their statement.
Kerri Kasem, appointed her father’s temporary conservator this week, also thanked Washington authorities for their work.
Kerri and her siblings have been in a battle with their stepmom, Jean Kasem, who they claim kidnapped Kasem from his nursing home and took him to an Indian reservation. They have not seen their dad in months.
Family spokesman Danny Deraney said the kids are concerned that their dad hasn’t taken his medication since being pulled from the nursing home.
"The fact that he's been away from his medical care is a big deal and they're scared something serious could happen with his health," Deraney said.
