The Biggest Loser winner Rachel Frederickson hasn’t kept all the weight off since the show’s finale, and in her case, she says that’s a very good thing.
The winner of the 15th season, who shocked the cast and TBL viewers with her wild 155-pound slimdown, revealed that she has since gained 20 back.
She does not regret the big response to her big reveal, however.
“It started a discussion about body image. That’s huge,” Rachel says of the debate over whether she was too thin upon revealing her winning figure at the time.
Since then, “I’ve gone up about 20 pounds,” she adds.
As a result of that, “I think I’m at my perfect weight.”
That would put the 24-year-old Rachel Frederickson at a sound 125 pounds, after weighing for the final time on The Biggest Loser at just 105.
Because she started at 260, this prompted immediate backlash that both she and the NBC show were celebrating an unhealthy approach to weight loss.
As for how she got to this perfect happy medium?
“I work out an hour, six days a week. I love classes like Soul Cycle. I loosely count calories, but I might eat an Oreo sometimes. It’s not the end of the world.”
Far from it, we’d say. They rule.
Frederickson adds on Facebook: “Navigating maintenance mode is a journey in itself! Can be daunting… but I’m just focusing on being the best me I can be!!”
You go, girl.
