Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker of The Real Housewives of Atlanta have tied the knot following a courtship that could best be described as a bit bumpy.
In what can't be a coincidence, the duo got married Friday night, just before emotions ran high on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 6 Episode 21.
Tucker, one of the show's former producers, has feuded with Kandi's Mama Joyce all season, but they seemed to reach a true understanding Sunday.
The couple dated for years before getting engaged in 2013, and exchanged vows before family and friends in Atlanta on Friday evening, the show said.
Burruss, a Grammy-winning singer and songwriter, is a former member of R&B group Xscape. Tucker is a freeloader ... or so her mom would tell you.
She hired a detective to stalk the guy, and even considered planting a hot babe to see if he'd take the bait. Finally, he had enough and called her out.
You can watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta online to see their talk play out for yourself, but the two actually conducted themselves fairly rationally.
Confronting his future mother-in-law about her disapproval of their love, Tucker says he stopped working only so he could travel less and be with Kandi more.
He denied he's an opportunist and said that hopefully one day she can accept him for who he is and stop judging him for things he hasn't even done.
Mama Joyce actually admitted she's been a bit overprotective, and they appeared to bury the hatchet like adults ... shocking, really, for Bravo stars.
Now Todd Tucker and Kandi Burruss are married. What timing. Congratulations to the happy couple and we can't wait to see the wedding on TV!
