Joey Fatone Blasts Backstreet Boys: They Need Money!

by at . Comments

Remember when NSYNC reunited at the MTV Video Music Awards last year and fans lost their minds?

Well... let's hope you've bookmarked a video of that performance on your computer. Because it won't be happening again any time soon.

"It was fun, it was interesting, but I don't know if it's ever going to happen again," Joey Fatone told Huffington Post this week. "I don't know whether or not something will ever happen again, but again you always say never say never because that happened.

"That was never gonna happen and all of a sudden it did happen."

Fatone also took a moment to throw some shade on his former group’s competition when asked about the recent Backstreet Boys tour.

"I feel like they just need the money," he said, before quickly adding: "No offense guys."

Let's hope offense is taken, however, and we're treated to some serious boy band feuding over the coming weeks. Who wouldn't want to see that?!?

Here's a look, meanwhile, at the aforementioned NSYNC reunion on the MTV stage:

Um, it's not like the Backstreet Boys decided to do this tour because of Nsync's little reunion and they wanted to compete. They've been putting out music consistently since they reunited with the Never Gone album and I've seen them in concert twice. Joey needs to fact check before talking s**t.

Ok, Backstreet Boys may or may not need the money, but if they do, what's the big deal? I also go to work because I need the money. It's called EARNING A LIVING! And in Backstreet Boys case, they are fortunate enough to work in a job they actually enjoy, to boot. This is America. No shame in that at all.
