Kate Middleton and Prince William continue to be as charming as ever on their visit to New Zealand. The two participated in a yacht race around Auckland Harbor last Friday and Kate didn't cut her husband, the future king of England, any slack at all!
The two raced America's Cup yachts, and Kate, being the experienced sailor between the two, had one thing on her mind: Winning!
"Take care!" she teased before setting off, giving him a little pat on the back. "Yeah, see you later," he replied.
"There are no friends on the water. No quarter given," said Grant Dalton, managing director of the Emirates Team New Zealand.
"I'm sure Prince William would not want to be beaten by his wife." Except he was. GO KATE!
As she sailed past him on her victory lap, Kate gave Prince William a fun little salute. This was her revenge for losing a Dragon Race in Canada to William in 2011.
"With all the formal parts of the tour, the functions and the different appearances, it must be nice to do a few of the fun things like going for a sail," said Dean Barker, captain of New Zealand's America's Cup team.
"It's good to see they are human and like to do all the things that we all like to do."
And that's why we love them so. They're people just like us.
