The Voice Season 6 Episode 10 saw the conclusion of the battle rounds. Well, the first wave at least, 'cause a brand new second round will air next week.
Because what The Voice needed was definitely another format change.
On the heels of the Gwyneth Paltrow-Chris Martin split, the Coldplay singer will anchor round two of the battles Monday. Should be very interesting.
The final three matchups of this week aired last night, along with clips of some others did that not make the cut. Let's break down the latest showdowns:
Team Shakira's Cierra Mickens vs. Emily B. dud battle on Sara Bareilles' hit "Brave," and Emily B. struggled with dynamics, while Mickens was pitchy.
Yet each showed sufficient vocal stylings and creativity to move on. Shakira chose Emily, leaving Cierra to be rewarded with Usher's final steal.
Team Adam's Cary Laine and Sam Behymer battled it out on "Give Me Love," and while both were pitchy throughout, the coach picked Behymer.
Team Blake's Kaleigh Glanton and Noah Lis gave "Everything" they had, and for stepping up big in a song that worked more in Lis' favor, Glanton got the nod.
Team Blake's Ryan Whyte Maloney bested Cali Tucker, Team Adam's Christina Grimmie topped Joshua Howard, and Team Shakira's Kristen Merlin beat Lindsay Bruce.
The battles continue next Monday on NBC. Are you enjoying the current season so far? Which coach do you think has the most talent on his/her roster?
