Miguel Almaguer Reports on Mud in Los Angeles, Gets Stuck in Mud

by at .  Updated at . Comments

In case you didn't hear the Apocalyptic news, it rained in Los Angeles last week.

A lot.

But that didn't prevent NBC reporter Miguel Almaguer from doing his job, as the journalist ventured into mud four feet deep in order to depict the dangerous conditions and to warn viewers about getting stuck in the mud as the rain poured down.

Almaguer then got stuck in the mud.

Seriously!

Fortunately for the NBC Nightly News correspondent, two firefighters were walking by and pulled him to safety, although they could not rescue his footwear.

"He’s probably never going to see those boots again,” Roland Sprewell, a fire captain with the County of Los Angeles Fire Department, told The New York Daily News.

Hey, anything for a story.
