Two teenage boys in Texas are charged with killing a 15-year-old girl, citing a deal they were attempting to make with the devil, according to reports.
Jose Reyes, 17, kidnapped Corriann Cervantes back on February 5 and ultimately killed her with a toilet tank lid, according to Houston court documents.
A 16-year-old boy, who is unidentified because of his age, was also charged. Their disturbing reason for committing this heinous act is just unbelievable:
"They discussed the fact that Mr. Reyes had sold his soul to the devil," Assistant Harris County District Attorney John Jordan told the Houston Chronicle.
"And if they ended up killing this teenager," he went on describing the alleged pact, "it would also allow the 16-year-old to also sell his soul to the devil."
Three days after Cervantes was killed, her partially-clothed body was found in an abandoned apartment with an upside-down cross carved into her stomach.
Jordan added the girl had been stabbed, beaten and sexually assaulted.
"During the course of events, this teenager screamed, 'Why are you doing this to me?' and attempted to run from the apartment," Jordan said, chillingly.
"They stopped her and this became a kidnapping. Eventually she was killed."
Both teens were charged with capital murder after police discovered the offense and linked them to it. Reyes is being held in the Harris County jail without bail.
The 16-year-old is in the Harris County Juvenile courthouse.
