Lamar Odom isn't throwing in the towel in his marriage to Khloe Kardashian just yet. In fact, he's trying to win her back, sending her a Valentine's Day surprise!
In an effort to let Khloe know she’s still on his mind, despite her recent divorce filing, the basketball pro sent her a big bouquet of pink roses on February 14.
When Us asked about Khloe, Odom held nothing back, referring to Khloe as his “wife” and hinting that the divorce is not a done deal. “I love my wife,” he says.
“She’ll always be my wife, no matter what,” adds the troubled athlete.
He’s refusing to respond to Khloe’s divorce filing, so that certainly helps the 34-year-old's statement remain true, at least legally and in the short term.
“We don’t know that the divorce will go through,” Lamar Odom says.
“I hope not. But even if we divorced, she would always be my wife.”
While Khloe is determined to let go, he's determined to ... not.
“She still loves Lamar but is trying to move on,” a friend says.
On the flip side, Lamar is “certain she’ll forgive him,” and he’s been talking about an April reconciliation when he returns from his stint playing in Europe.
“He is in Spain for two months, and he thinks by the time he gets back to L.A., they can be back together,” says a source. "The mentality of a champion.”
Champion's mentality or not, he may end up being let down.
Khloe appeared to throw another jab at her ex-husband on Instagram this week, firing of another of her inspirational posts which tells everyone that:
"You deserve someone who knows how to make things up to you after hurting you. Not someone who is very good with just the word, 'sorry.'"
In other words, when it comes to love, actions speak louder than words ... especially when one has also uttered some harsh words on crack videos (below).
The message, which is heavy on self love, states that people shouldn’t settle for being hurt by loved ones, only to accept a half-assed apology from them.
Keep trying, Lammy. Keep trying.
Should she take him back?
