Jake "The Snake" Roberts: Diagnosed with Cancer, Confident in Recovery

by at . Comments

WWE legend Jake "The Snake" Roberts has been diagnosed with cancer.

The veteran grappler, who will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year, tells TMZ that a tumor has development behind his knee and he will undergo surgery tomorrow moving to have it removed.

But Roberts is confident in a full recovery and plans a return to Jersey Championship Wrestling on March 14.

Says Roberts, who spent many years battling substance abuse:

"If the devil can't defeat me, cancer doesn't stand a chance in hell! Pray for sick children who face this horrible disease 'cause The Snake will be just fine."

And don't even waste time wondering whether or not Roberts will be in New Orleans on April 5 when his name is called a new member of the Hall of Fame.

The Snake says he'll be there no matter how this week's procedure turns out.

We wish this troubled star all the best.
