2014 Oscars Watch: Who Should Win Best Supporting Actress?

by at . Comments

Five women. One trophy.

Who will take it home on March 2?!?

Indeed, the Best Supporting Actress race at this year's Academy Awards features quite the variety of nominees, from a pretty woman (Julia Roberts) to a girl on fire (Jennifer Lawrence).

There's also a veteran (June Squibb), a total newcomer (Lupita Nyong’o) and Sally Hawkins.

We've already asked you to weigh in on the 2014 Best Supporting Actor nominees. So do the same for these talented supporting actresses now:

Who should win Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars?

I'm a Jennifer fan. She was amazing in Silver Lining's Playbook and Winter's Bone, but she does not deserve to win for American Hustle.

@ lauren

you have to remember she's a supporting role she was the lead actress in both winters bone and SLP, her total screen time was around 20 minutes total were as slp and winter bone she was in the whole movie so for the amount of screen time she was given in AH she does deserve it

@ Nicole

Yeah, Jennifer sure does deserve it!
But, Lupita Nyong'o deserves it MORE.

@ Markel

The award is for best performance and Jennifer did more with her role than Lupita demonstrating a range few actress possess. Lupita was fantastic, but you could tell the story without her. AH doesn't work without Jennifer Lawrence.
