Not everyone wants Justin Bieber to be deported.
Asked about Bieber's latest dust-up with the law - in which the singer turned himself into Canadian police to answer assault charges from an incident in late December - Toronto Mayor Rob Ford said in a radio interview that we should cut the singer some slack.
"At 19 years old, I wish I was as successful as he was," Ford said. "He's 19 years old, guys. Think back to when you were 19."
Seriously. Who among us wasn't drag racing while high, attacking limo drivers and throwing eggs at our neighbor's home when we were 19?!?
Ford has never met Bieber, but he has been met with his own challenges while in office over the past few months.
In November, he admitted to smoking crack cocaine. He then defended himself by saying he was too drunk at the time to remember details from the incident.
Ford also ran right into a City Council member during a hearing late last year that stripped him of many legislative powers.
In other words, Justin: He's the exact kind of guy you want in your corner.
