Police were called around 10 p.m. on December 21 in response to a domestic dispute. According to a probable cause affidavit, Davis said he invited Denver Lee St. Clair (the husband of Tressia St. Clair, Davis' mother) over for drinks and then the two men started arguing.

Davis told authorities that St. Clair “came at him," punches were exchanged and then Davis knocked St. Clair out with a major blow.

From there, Davis allegedly admits to pulling his stepfather's underwear up over his head.

“I'd never seen this before, but when we first looked at our victim seeing the waistband of his underwear was around his neck,” Pottawatomie County Sheriff Mike Booth said.

The death has been ruled a homicide and the cause has been ruled blunt force trauma to the head and asphyxiation.
