Mae Young, a WWE legend who continued to be involved in professional wrestling well into her 70s, passed away yesterday at her home in South Carolina.

She was 90 years old.

The legend’s death was erroneously reported by multiple outlets (including THG) last week after she was hospitalized on December 31 and then moved to hospice care.

But WWE officials have now confirmed Young’s passing, though an exact cause of death was not given for the woman who broke into the business in the 1940s and became the only individual to compete in eight different decades.
