Flavor Flav was in too much of a hurry to mourn yesterday.
The rapper, whose mother passed away on New Year's Eve, was pulled over on the Long Island Expressway for driving 79 in a 55 mph zone.
Police then discovered a small amount of marijuana on the star.
A background check also revealed that Flavor Flav's license had 16 suspensions, leading to an arrest on charges of felony aggravated unlicensed operation, speeding and marijuana possession.
Likely due to his destination, however, the musician was not held in custody. He was instead given a ticket to appear at a future court date, which has been set for January 28.
This wasn't Flavor Flav's first run-in with the law.
