She was an adored teen detective whose tenure ended too soon for her Marshmallows. Thanks to Kickstarter and a dedicated fan base, the Veronica Mars movie is set to debut in theaters nationwide in March 2014, just one year after raising $5.7 million dollars in 24 hours.
We've got your first look at the flick here.
Veronica Mars will return to her hometown of Neptune, California 10 years after she said goodbye. The reason? A high school reunion.
And her former boyfriend Logan has gotten himself into a bit of a predicament. He's been accused of killing his pop star girlfriend.
Originally the film was slated for release in select cities only, but after screen testing the film with audiences, Warner Bros. have decided to give the film a wider release and let the fans dictate how long it will stay in theaters before being released On Demand and on DVD.
The film was shot in just 23 days this summer. Rob Thomas, the mastermind behind the movie, says "there are smart ways to do a movie of this size--and we chose none of them."
Thomas and Kristen Bell, who has said Veronica Mars could be her entire life, were determined to give the fans what they want. And that's exactly what they're going to get.
Mark your calendars for March 14, 2014, because Veronica Mars is coming to a theater near you.
