Paul Walker's co-star Tyrese Gibson was among those deeply affected by the actor's tragic death this weekend, breaking down in tears at the crash site.
Tyrese, one of Walker's fellow cast members in the popular Fast and Furious franchise, was paying his respects and clutching flowers for his friend.
He was overcome with emotion at the loss of his friend:
"My heart is hurting so bad ... no one can make me believe this is real," the 34-year-old Gibson tweeted on Saturday following the shocking news.
"Father God I pray that you send clarity over this cause I just don't understand My heart hurts it's broken no one can convince me that this is real."
"Prayer warriors please pray real hard for his only child, his daughter and family."
Tyrese also Instagrammed a screen shot of his last round of texts with Paul, where the two men traded Thanksgiving wishes and banter.
"I love you and I'm thankful and appreciate the love and hugs that never stop," Gibson wrote to Walker, who replied with a simple, "Hahaah xoxx"
Paul Walker died just two days later along with his good friend Roger Rodas. Both men were in a Porsche that collided with a pole and a tree.
"At least I got to say I love you," Gibson continued. "…. #OurLastExchange but our laughs and moments will live forever #ThisIsWorstThanMyWorstNightmare"
"#GodiLoveYouAndiwillneverquestionYou.... But this I just don't understand #PaulForeverFamily #MyHeartHurtsSoBad please pray for his daughter and family…"
Although an investigation into the crash is ongoing, authorities believe that excessive speed may have been a factor in the accident that killed Walker.
The latest installment in the film franchise, Fast and Furious 7, is delayed for obvious reasons following the tragic passing of the beloved actor.
