The Voice Recap: Tessanne Chin is In it to Win it

by at . Comments

Tessanne Chin led the way in a quintet of strong performances on The Voice Monday night, and proved why she's probably the frontrunner as of now.

Closing out the Top 5 show with an emotional rendition of “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” The Voice definitely saved its best for last with Tessanne.

Watch the performance of Simon and Garfunkel's classic that left Chin's coach Adam Levine and so many others across the country speechless ...

A favorite from the get-go, Tessanne Chin, as the show goes on, has only gotten stronger in her vocal stylings, which is pretty darn impressive.

That said, the title is far from hers to lose, because the other four singers remaining gave it their all as well and there were very few shortcomings ...

Team Adam’s James Wolpert opened the show and wowed the crowd with U2‘s “With or Without You.” Even if it wasn't his best, it was outstanding.

Levine's third protege Will Champlin was next with Fun‘s “Carry On,” and did justice to a hit song whose soaring vocals are very hard to replicate.

Team Christina Aguilera’s Jacquie Lee performed Sarah McLachlin‘s “Angel,” and what followed was a moving, powerful, and touching performance.

Team Blake Shelton‘s last contestant, Cole Vosbury, sang the Billy Joel-written Garth Brooks hit “Shameless,” and the result was classic, raspy Cole.

Whose performance was the best? Who do you think will earn the votes to stay tonight, and who do you think will go home on the results show? Comment below!
