Marcia Gay Harden will play Christian Grey's adoptive mother, Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey, in the Fifty Shades of Grey film, according to reports.
The casting news comes on the heels of reports that British singer Rita Ora will take to the big screen project as well as Christian Grey's sister, Mia.
Harden joins stars Jamie Dornan (Christian Grey) and Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele) in the erotic E.L. James adaptation set for a 2015 release.
Other notable co-stars in 50 Shades are Luke Grimes, who will play Elliot Grey, and Eloise Mumford, who'll be Anastasia's best friend, Kate Kavanagh.
Rounding out the cast are Victor Rasuk as Ana's close friend Jose, Jennifer Ehle as Anastasia's mom, Carla, and Max Martini as Grey's bodyguard.
There are still a few of characters that need to be cast, most intriguingly Elena Lincoln, the older, sexy blond who is Christian's longtime friend.
A business partner, she is also the woman who introduced Grey to the S&M lifestyle when he was 15 years old (earning the nickname "Mrs. Robinson").
Filming has recently commenced in Vancouver, Canada. Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson were snapped on set for the first time on December 1.
