Jeff Pollack, a producer and director best known for his work on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air from 1990-1996, passed away on a running trail in Hermosa Beach, Calif.
He died on Monday and was 54 years old.
According to Manhattan Beach Patch, a woman found Pollack's body and called the authorities, who do not suspect foul play was involved in the death.
Pollack teamed with Benny Medina over two decades ago to form the production company Medina/Pollack Entertainment; it later became known as Handprint Entertainment.
Aside from the sitcom that launched Will Smith's career, Pollack directed the movies Booty Call and Lost & Found. He produced a Jennifer Lopez documentary in 2001 and was known as an avid runner.
Pollack graduated from the University of Southern California Film School and we send his loved ones our condolences.
