Christopher Evan Welch has passed away.
The veteran actor, who started his career on the stages of New York and then moved on to movies and television, died in Santa Monica on December 2 after having been diagnosed with lung cancer.
He was 48 years old.
A Dallas native, Welch earned an Obie Award in 2000 for his work in "A Streetcar Named Desire" at the New York Theatre Workshop.
He was best known for small screen roles that included stints on The Sopranos, Rubicon and The Good Wife. He also played a clerk in the House of Representatives in Steven Spielberg's Lincoln.
Welch is survived by his wife, Emma, daughter June Harper, his parents, a brother and a sister.
