Sunday marked a TLC reunion as the group sang their smash hit "Waterfalls" in a surprise performance for the 2013 American Music Awards crowd.
Surviving members Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas were joined by Lil Mama, who took the place of the late Lisa “Left-Eye” Lopes.
As the group took to the stage wearing ethereal white ensembles, reminiscent of their outfit coordinating, 1990s heyday, the audience roared in response:
With their fluid choreographed movement, just like back in the day, the singers delighted those fans who remembered TLC’s peak nearly two decades ago.
The performance at the 2013 AMAs follows the October release of the VH1 biopic CrazySexyCool, which follows the girl group’s electric rise to fame.
Managed by Pebbles Reid, their time at the top was marked by meteoric success, but also plenty of controversy. But their talent still shines through.
