The battle rounds continued on Season 5 of The Voice last night, and we were treated to some impressive clashes as the singers fought for survival.
Which aspiring star ended up heading home while others advanced to sing another week? And who was granted a last-second stay via the steal?
Let's break down all six battles from Monday night below!
Josh Logan vs. Michael Lynch (Team Christina): “Harder To Breathe” by Maroon 5
Somehow, neither of them really knew the words to Adam's hit and Christina had them a little nervous ... both in that dress and with her vocal talents.
She tried to get them both amped up, but when it came time for the battle, Michael was more so. However, it was Josh who showed superior vocal control.
George Horga Jr. vs. Juhi (Team Cee Lo): "The Best I Ever Had" by Gavin DeGraw
Adam and Blake were both more impressed with Juhi's sound, with Blake lamenting that he should have made a play for Juhi during the blind auditions.
While Cee-Lo called Juhi a "young Einstein," he felt compelled to "commend and support someone who wants to solely do this, as if there’s no plan B."
So ... Juhi's aerospace engineering dreams backfired? Cee-Lo went for George, at which point Adam made the obvious steal and everyone was happy.
STEAL: Juhi to Adam
Austin Jenckes vs. Brian Pounds (Team Blake) "To Love Somebody" by Bee Gees
Poor Brian admitted "it tinges" a bit to see judges fawning over Austin, but it isn't entirely unwarranted, given the way he gets lost in the music.
Austin was the clear winner of this one, and Blake chose accordingly.
James Irwin vs. Matt Cermanski (Team Adam): "Counting Stars" by OneRepublic
James and Matt were both eliminated during previous seasons of The Voice. One would be ousted again after this battle set to a OneRepublic track.
Adam acknowledged that both singers stumbled a bit, but picked James.
Destinee Quinn vs. Lena Gaudenzi (Team Christina): "I'm Not Ready To Make Nice" by The Dixie Chicks
In this epic diva showdown, a clear winner was hard to pick. Adam was a fan of Lena. Blake of Destinee. Christina was "so living for these two right now."
Christina said she had to choose Destinee for the performance element, and Adam didn't hesitate, absconding with Lena for his second steal Monday.
STEAL: Lena to Adam
James Wolpert vs. Will Champlin (Team Adam): "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons
This one was hyped up big time, and Will hit some amazing high notes, while James showed off some serious passion, but it was (just a tad) underwhelming.
Maybe the expectations were just set too high? In the end, Adam picked James, but Christina, who said she thought Will won, swooped in for the takeaway.
STEAL: Will to Christina
