It was windy. It was challenging, but when it was all over, Serena Williams was once again in a familiar place:

The winner’s circle of a Grand Slam tournament.

Serena captured her 17th such singles title yesterday (the sixth most in history), defeating Victoria Azarenka  7-5, 6-7, 6-1 and becoming the first woman to ever top $50 million in career earnings.
