Lee Daniels is no doubt enjoying the great The Butler reviews but now that his work on that film is done, he's moving on to his next project... Janis Joplin.
The project isn't new by any means, THR reported on it back in September, but Lee Daniels is now confirming that the biopic of the 60s singer will be next up for him.
Amy Adams has already signed on for the lead role which should add another another notch in her belt. She's taken on many different genres and roles so Janis Joplin seems like the next logical step.
Also on Daniels' horizon? A film adaptation of Claude-Michel Schonberg and Alain Boubil's popular musical Miss Saigon. Given Hollywood's love of musicals in recent years, this could be a very good move on Daniels' part.
