Michael Jackson's bar is too high for Beiber.. he needs to find his OWN image and if he has any, talent- Stop leeching off the Legendary Michael Jackon- His Estate says NO NO and is taking down the Beiber version under copyright llaw as soon as they are uploaded. Michael said "Study the Masters" NOT steal from them.

That was harsh, i'm not a Bieber fan at all. But give him credit for doing what any MJ fan would do. Additionally he updated a song to appeal to his followers, how is that bad? Anything that keeps MJ current is always good, be it remixes, remakes, covers. First thing any MJ fan will do after hearing this is seek out the original. Again GOOD THing.

This kids has the balls to call a song by the greatest entertainer of all time a collaboration, MJ is dead Beiber just like you re to millions of other people in the age bracket 19-99

I'm in love with the song. Two of my favorite singers in the same song. With that being said he apparently had to have someone's permission to do it, I mean he's one of the biggest stars, but he still wouldn't do anything without having the right permission etc. Justin has always been a huge fan of Michael and finds him as an inspiring artist.

You have to have some nerve to take the completed work of a deceased musician and attempt to get acclaim for it by calling it a collaboration (which it obviously isn't since Jackson is dead and recorded the song before Bieber was even born).

    PLEASE ADD TO YOUR ARTICLE!

The Estate of Michael Jackson said today that the Justin Bieber remix of "Slave to the Rhythm" was NOT an authorized recording.

Read the full statement here (via MJJCommunity, with whom the Estate is in direct contact): http://www.mjjcommunity.com/forum/threads/130213-MJ-Estate-Statement-Re-Justin-Bieber-Slave-To-The-Rhythm-Recording?p=3888933#post3888933

"Slave to the Rhythm" was originally recorded in 1989, and reworked after Michael Jackson's death. The full version of the song was leaked online in 2010.

You can listen to it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vri-hn2JxKc

(The Bieber remix eliminated chunks of MJ's vocals, by the way. It's not left "intact.")

Finally, I'll leave you with a quote from MJ himself, given in a 1996 interview with the "Black & White" French fan magazine:

"The least I can say is that I don't like [remixes]. I don't like it that they come in and change my songs completely."
