by at . Comments

Legendary actor Dick Van Dyke was unhurt after his Jaguar caught on fire yesterday on the 101 Freeway in Calabasas, Calif., according to his wife Arlene.

Good Samaritans helped the 87-year-old Van Dyke and his wife from the fire after he pulled the car over to the side of the Ventura Freeway in Calabasas.

The fire occurred about 2 p.m. Monday.

Arlene Van Dyke posted video online of the burned-out car and the actor talking to the police. His rep said the three-time Emmy winner was not injured.

Publicist Bob Palmer said Van Dyke was "fine" but "slightly embarrassed" and was extremely "appreciative of the instant help he got on the road."

As are we. Glad he's alright!
