Dennis Farina Dies at 69

Dennis Farina, a veteran actor most recently seen on two episodes of New Girl, passed away today at the age of 69.

The star's publicist confirmed the news to The Associated Press and said his client died of a blood clot in his long while inside his Scottdale, Arizona home.

Farina helped anchor such iconic films as Get Shorty, Snatch and Midnight Run.

He also appeared on HBO's Luck and stopped by the aforementioned Fox sitcom as Nick Miller's dad.

Farina has three adult children from his marriage to Patricia Farina, from whom he split in 1980. He also has two granddaughters and four grandsons.
