Glee star Cory Monteith was found dead Saturday. He was just 31.
Vancouver police found Monteith dead after he failed to check out at noon from the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel. Staff went to check on him and made the discovery.
It's been reported that he was "clearly deceased" at the scene.
According to investigators, he was in the room Friday night with some friends before the group went out on the city, then came back early Saturday alone.
No foul play is suspected in the death of Cory Monteith, whose rep confirmed the worst in a statement in the hours after this story broke:
"We are so saddened to confirm that the reports on the death of Cory Monteith are accurate," the rep said. "We are in shock and mourning this tragic loss."
What led to his tragic passing is unclear, however. Police said "it was not immediately apparent" what caused his death. An autopsy is set for Monday.
Monteith voluntarily checked himself into rehab earlier this year, admitting he had substance abuse issues. It was his second time seeking treatment.
He had been dating fellow Glee star Lea Michele since 2012.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family.
