Chris Brown is kissing his precious graffiti monsters goodbye, having apparently thrown in the towel in the fight to keep the "art" on his Hollywood Hills home.
He insists it's coming down by his choice ... and it may be. But more likely, he saw a fight with the city looming and chose not to throw down. For once.
Chris has been fighting officials since May over graffiti he plastered on an exterior wall of the house, even claiming it's protected by the 1st Amendment.
Seriously. Because it's an art form, or so he says.
After neighbors complained about the blight on the block, the city threatened to fine Chris, which he vowed to fight ... but is now painting over the images.
The 24-year-old was seen painting over them outside this week.
Chris insists he's taking down the (sort of awesome) painted creatures because he wanted to, not because of any legal dispute, but it had to have factored in.
Whatever the reason, the L.A. Building Department of Safety says if its inspectors are satisfied the graffiti is covered today, Chris will not be fined.
Look at Chris Brown, ending a feud amicably ... who would have guessed?
