Wimbledon champion Andy Murray provided a funny viral moment yesterday when he momentarily forgot to hug his mother following his historic victory.

After becoming the first British player to win Wimbledon in 77 years, the 26-year-old climbed into the stands to celebrate with everyone in his camp.

With one notable exception.

"Obviously when I’m playing the match, I’ve got no idea where everyone is, but yeah, I pretty much left her out,” Murray told Today Monday morning.

Judi Murray, 53, wasn’t having it. "I heard her screaming at me to come back when I was on my way down," Andy said, and then embraced his mum.

Mother and son have been practically inseparable during his career; Judi’s fist-pumping and vocal support are noteworthy even by tennis mom standards.

It’s no wonder she burst into tears of joy after he bested Novak Djokovic … and it’s likely she and Kim Sears will never let him hear the end of this one.
