Is Amanda faking all this nonsense in hopes of making a come back in movies and TV? I didn't know you could turn crazy off and on like she does.

@ McKay

When has she has she turned it off, especially recently? I seriously doubt this is her trying for a comeback. If it is it's totally the WRONG way to do it.

She should have thought about that when she wasted high priced gasoline on the dog.

@ I don't care

People with mental health issues often DON'T think straight. What's the price of gas have to do with it though. I mean c'mon, yea Amanda's been a circus/train wreck we could all see coming but it's not a humorous situation.

Amanda has a severe mental disorder....nothing that was brought on by hollyweird perse but it's certainly nothing to take lightly....I just feel terrible for her. I cannot imagine what it's like to have an intelligent mind but one that has no control over what's real and what is imagined.....I just hope she gets the help she needs....politics aside.

Most crazy people do, but you can see it, you can see the crazy in her eyes. What ever they do, DO NOT LET HER OUT, or ANYWHERE NEAR THAT DOG !!!

THG-PLEASE stop invading this poor woman's privacy and releasing information your reporter clearly doesn't understand. A conservator is NOT a guardian and their legal roles and powers are different. Look it up - or interview an attorney who can explain it. Spreading misinformation only compounds a problem.

@ Linda Headley

Conservator is typically used to refer to one who has legal control over an adult's affairs. Guardian is typically one who looks after the affairs of a minor child.

Sounds like she might be schizophrenic. Whatever is going on she is seriously mentally ill! She needs to stay in treatment until they determine what exactly is going on with her and determine a treatment plan before releasing her back into society.

Avatar

I hope her parents find a way to keep her there so she can get the help she badly need.

Avatar

Do not let her out. She needs help!!!!

Avatar

Releasing her would be the biggest mistake ever for her health & future. She needs treatment & counseling for an extended period. Hopefully that will help her get her life straightened out & mend the relationship with her parents.

@ Emanon

True, but the sad fact is you can only hold someone for so long, and if they don't think they have a problem, they won' help themselves.

@ Binky

If the person is deemed to not have the capability to make rational decisions about their health & safety as well as the health/safety of the public, they can be held for an extended period of time. Granted, I don't think that will happen in this situation but I do think the court will order long term treatment & counseling as a condition for being released. I'm thinking she'll be held for a few weeks. Usually any meds for mental health, whether it's depression or whatever, take a few weeks to fully take effect.
