Joselyn Martinez has clearly been in the wrong line of work.

The actress - who has appeared in Cross Bronx and voiced the video game Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned - used the powers of the Internet recently to help bring her father's murderer to justice.

As first reported by The New York Daily News, Martinez scoured websites such as and USA People Search to track down Justo Santos, a 43-year old who allegedly killed Joselyn's dad, Joe, in 1986.

Police acknowledge that Martinez provided them with Santos' addresses and phone number and that, when apprehended in Miami, he confessed to the crime on Thursday.

“She was dynamite. She did a great job of finding this guy. She basically solved the case,” a law enforcement official told the newspaper.

Santos will be extradited to New York later this week.

“I want to see New York State versus this criminal in court,” said Martinez, a recording artist and star of the upcoming Web series Wives in the Heights.

In 1986, Santos was one of two teens who entered a restaurant owned by Jose Martinez. After they caused a scene and Jose escorted them out, Santos reportedly shot him in cold blood... in front of his wife.

“I woke up the next morning and was told my father was killed,” Joselyn says. “We were destroyed.”

And her reaction when the cops called on Friday with the amazing news that Santos had been found?

“I was silent. I was quiet. I was in shock. Like now,” she said. “I believe it, but I don’t believe it.”
