Former Playboy playmate Colleen Shannon is facing serious jail time for trying to smuggle her ex-con boyfriend into the U.S. from Canada last summer.
Shannon was arrested last August while trying to sneak Robert Skojo over the border at the Akwesasne Mohawk Indian Reservation in upstate N.Y.
Shannon pleaded guilty to aiding an illegal immigrant in U.S. district court this week and faces as long as 10 months in jail, though that is not a given.
The 35-year-old was Hugh Hefner's hand-picked cover girl for Playboy's 50th anniversary issue in 2004 and has since become "the world's sexiest DJ."
Self-proclaimed. Just saying.
Colleen Shannon and Robert Skojo hooked up in 2011 after she spun records at party he hosted, but a long rap sheet prevented him from visiting the U.S.
Skojo served jail time in Canada on drug, prostitution and pimping convictions, but Shannon was undeterred, sneaking him across the border by car.
The pair was headed cross-country to the model's home in L.A. when they were stopped and he was detained, the Syracuse Post-Standard reports.
In November, he was sentenced to six months in jail and deported to Canada after his release. Shannon, for her part, will be sentenced October 22.
