Jacqueline Simpson, a gospel singer from Brooklyn, has filed a lawsuit against McDonald’s.

The artist says she swallowed a shard of glass inside a chicken sandwich at a location in lower Manhattan three years ago and the incident ruined her singing voice.

“Now when I sing, I have a hoarse, rattly voice,” Simpson told The New York Post. “I still sing alto, but I can’t sing soprano like I used to.”

The 52-year old works as a clerk for the state Attorney General’s Office and says the accident has also affected her job:

“I have to make a lot of calls for work and I have to tell people that I’m not a man. Before, that never happened.”

McDonald’s, of course, is no stranger to lawsuits.

Back in 1992, it paid $3 million to a woman because she spilled hot coffee on herself; last year, meanwhile, a prostitute in Nevada blamed a franchise owner for pushing her into her the profession.
