Katie Couric has perfected the art of easy conversation on TV.
Easy, nutritious meals for her kids? That's more challenging.
One ingredient that's always the menu, however? Milk.
"When you're adding milk to your breakfast you're getting all sorts of added benefits," says the talk-show host in a new ad with girls Ellie, 21, and Carrie, 17.
"You're getting protein when you put it in your cereal," observes Katie, a paid spokesperson for the National Milk Mustache "Got Milk?" campaign.
"You're getting calcium when you add it to coffee or just drinking it straight up."
While Couric, 56, credits her own mother for teaching her the importance of a nutritious start to the day, she joins the cause publicly Friday on Katie.
The benefits of getting enough calcium, and of healthy recipes in general, could not be more obvious when it comes to raising kids in this day and age.
As for her alleged return to the Today show, that's a lot less clear.
